Study is one of the defining dimensions of Christian discipleship. Knowing God, Bible Study and theological inquiry help us to grow in our faith, which enables us to claim the Gospel for ourselves and share it with others. Lanham offers a variety of learning opportunities for adults—during the Sunday Morning “Study Hour" (10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. for adults; Children begins at 10:30 a.m.) and at other times throughout the week.

. Adults: Uniform Bible Study
♦ Yearlong Study is going to be held weekly on Sunday mornings. It is open to all and meets in the Conference Room downstairs at 10:00 a.m.
· 2017 - 2018: For Beginners DISCIPLE: BECOMING DISCIPLE THROUGH BIBLE STUDY, Wednesday Evenings at 7 p.m.
. 2017 - 2018: Christian Believer: Knowing God with Heart and Mind - Thursdays at 11 a.m.
· 2018 - 2019: Jesus in the Gospels, Thursdays at 11 a.m.
♦ Contemporary Issues (Social Justice): While "Coffee with Pastor" on Wednesdays, the participants will encounter the Bible and its related literature in the context of a diverse but small group fellowship in order to develop faith, especially learn the biblical interpretation on social issues. The class welcomes people of all ages. This class meets in the Social Hall at 11:00 a.m. Text: FaithLink: Connecting Faith and Life, Weekly Online Subscription, Published on Tuesdays.
Lanham has a Media Resource Center downstairs. It has rich resources for your personal study, including Bible Commentaries, Liturgical guides,
Conference meeting Journals, Methodist History, and an extensive collection of volumes on theology, social issues, Methodist history and faithful living. Open Sundays 10 a.m.—Noon; Mondays thru Thursdays: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
